If you asked me as a child if I ever thought I would be an ordained pastor, ushering people into His presence every weekend through the gift of music I would have said — you got the wrong chick. Now I LOVED music, and I LOVED God, just had never put the two together, until one day I got a call asking if I would help to lead worship on the weekend. I was already on the worship team as a backup vocal, loved to sing, was VERY comfortable there. So when I showed up to the weekend services I was terrified when they asked me to stand in the front of the team and lead.
Now Praise GOD that in Hebrews 13:21 he equips the called, because I really had nothing to offer but my yes and amen. Terrified I said yes, and six weeks later went to my senior pastor and asked who is coming to fill this spot? He so boldly looked at me and said “no one, you’re it, we prayed and the Lord showed us you so keep going because no one is coming” I went home crying, and feeling so i’ll equipped to what He was asking of me, yet in my yes and Amen what I thought was impossible GOD in his faithfulness met me every single week. I kept showing up and there He was, and then as I began to grow and understand this intimate relationship with Christ, our encounters became bi-weekly, then daily, hourly and now minute by minute as I have drawn closer to Him and realized his incredible call on my life. I live a life of worship with Him every minute of every day and together we advance the kingdom for His glory.
